A Tasty Side Dish—scallions Curry/Onion Leaves Curry

Today I am sharing with you a quick and easy to make side dish recipe made with onion leaves. It is a simple dish, non spicy and you need only few ingredients for making this beautiful dish. It goes well with roti/chapathi or paratha.

Cooking time – 30 minutes. Serve – 4

Ingredients –

1.Onion leaves – 500 grams.(chopped)

2.Potato (large) — 1 (peeled and cut into cubes)

3.Onion (large) – 1 (finely chopped)

4.Garlic cloves – 4 (finely chopped)

5. Grated ginger – 1/2 tsp.

6.Tomato – 1 (chopped)

7.Slit green chilly – 4.

8.Salt to taste.

9.Sugar – a pinch.

10.Oil – 4 tbsp.

Instructions –

Heat oil in a frying pan, add onion,garlic and ginger. Fry for 1 minute Add potato, fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Add tomato,green chilly, salt, sugar and saute for 3 to 4 minutes. Add the chopped onion leaves, mix well. Cover the pan and cook for 4 to 5 minutes on slow flame(stir in between).

Remove pan from the heat,cover and give few minutes standing time. Delicious Onion leaves curry is ready, serve as a side dish with roti/paratha.
