Healthy Snacks—Vegetables Kabab With Winter Vegetables.

Today I am posting a healthy snacks recipe made with winter vegetables. It is an easy to make recipe and takes few minutes to prepare.It is a shallow fried snacks,so nutritious and tastes awesome. You can eat the beautiful snacks as a starter or as a tea time snacks.

Cooking time 30 minutes. Serve – 4

Ingredients-

1.Chopped Vegetables –1 bowl.(Carrot,Beat root,Cauliflower,Beans)

2.Potato (large) – 1 (boiled and mashed)

3.Onion —-1 (finely chopped)

4.Ginger -garlic paste – 1 tsp.

5.Red chilly powder – 1/2 tsp.

6.Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp.

7.Garam masala powder – 1/2 tsp.

8.Chatu/sattu (roasted gram flour powder)—2 tbsp.

9.Egg (beaten) – 1 (optional)

10.Salt to taste

11.Sugar – 1/4 tsp.

12. Oil for shallow frying.

Instructions –

Using 1 tsp.of salt boil the chopped vegetables for 3 minutes and drain. Heat 1 tbsp.of oil in a frying pan—–add the chopped onion, boiled vegetables and salt. Fry for 3 to 4 minutes. Add ginger-garlic paste,chilly-cumin powders,sugar and 1/2 cup of water. Saute for 4 to 5 minutes on slow heat. Add the mashed potato,mix well and stir for 2 minutes. Remove pan from the heat and allow to cool.

Now add garam masala powder, beaten egg and mix well. Mix chatu/sattu and make a dough. The mixture should be dry. If needed mix extra sattu.

Place a griddle on heat. Spread 2 to 3 tbsp.of oil on it. Take small portion of the mixture,flatten to give the shape of a kabab and place on the griddle. Arrange 5 to 6 kababs at a time. Shallow fry the kababs on slow heat till both sides turn golden brown.

Tasty and healthy vegetables kabab is ready , garnish and serve hot with salads.
