Bengali Sweet/ Malpua Recipe/Winter Special Malpua recipe.

Today I am sharing with you a delicious malpua recipe made with palm date jaggery(also known as Nolen gur).It is a traditional Bengali sweet made in winter season . In this recipe ,no need to add any type of sweet syrup. You can add jaggery as per your taste . So it is a healthy sweet, very quick and easy to prepare and with few ingredients.

Cooking time – 30 minutes. Serve – 4/5

Ingredients –

1.Plain flour (moida) –1 cup

2.Rice flour – 1/2 cup

3. Semolina (suji) 1/2 cup

4.Grated coconut – 1 cup

5.Palm date jaggery (liquid/solid) – 1 cup (or as per choice)

6.Baking soda – a pinch

7.Milk/water and white oil for deep frying

Instructions–

Take a large mixing bowl . To this add all the dry ingredients and baking soda, mix well. Add jaggery,coconut and mix well.Then add milk or water little by little and make a lump free smooth batter. Cover and allow to rest for 15 minutes. After that mix the batter again (you need to add little milk/water). The batter should be smooth and pouring consistency.

Heat oil in a frying pan. Take one ladleful of batter pour circular movement into the hot oil to form a circle.Ater few seconds reduce the heat. Fry on medium heat till light brown on both sides. Take out from oil and keep on paper towels.

Bengali sweet Malpua is ready. ENJOY.
