Rath Yatra Special —–Sweet Banana Balls In Appam Pan (No Sugar Recipe)

Happy Rath Yatra to all my Friends,

Today I am sharing with you a delicious dessert —- sweet Banana Balls recipe. It is a famous Bengali dessert, very quick and easy to prepare and with few ingredients. I have prepared this beautiful sweet in  Appam Pan, you can use frying pan also. It is a healthy dessert because it has no added sugar,made from only ripe Bananas and Sweet Potato. So it is a perfect dessert recipe for Diabetics.

Cooking time – 30 minutes.  Serve – 4

Ingredients –

  1. Banana pulp – 1 cup.
  2. Sweet potato – 1 (boiled and peeled)
  3. Fennel seeds (mouri) – 1 tbsp.
  4. Flour(maida) – 2 tbsp.
  5. White oil – for frying.

Instructions –

Peel and mash the bananas and sweet potato. To this add flour and fennel seeds. Mix all the ingredients and make a thick mixture. Keep aside for 10 minutes.

Place Appam Pan on medium heat. Pour oil in each mold. Pour 1 tbsp.of mixture into each mold. Reduce the heat and fry till the bottom of the mixture balls become brown.Using a spoon turn each ball upside down and fry till brown. Take out the fried balls with a slotted spoon, keep on paper towels.

Again pour oil in each mold and start the next batch.

Tasty and healthy Bengali sweet —–Banana Balls is ready, serve hot or cold——Enjoy the Holy Rath Yatra  with Banana Balls and Papad.
