Quick Potato Snacks/Potato Fritters.

Today I am posting a very simple snacks recipe made with potatoes. It is a deep fried snacks, very quick and easy to prepare. You need only few ingredients for making this beautiful snacks. You can serve it as a tea time snacks or with rice and dal.

Cooking time – 20 minutes . Serve – 4

Ingredients –

1.Potato – 400 grams.

2.Onion (large) – 1 (finely chopped)

3.Garlic cloves – 4 (finely chopped)

4.Grated ginger – 1/2 tbsp.

5.Green chilly – 2 (chopped)

6.Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp.

7.Salt to taste.

8.Gram flour (besan) -2 tbsp.

9.Baking soda – a pinch

10.Oil as required.

11.Garam masala powder – 1/4 tsp.

Instructions –

Take the potatoes, peel the skins off and shred . Wash the potatoes very well and squeeze dry. Put them in a large mixing bowl.To this add onion,garlic,ginger,chilly and turmeric powder. mix well. Now add gram flour,salt,baking soda and garam masala powder. Add very little water and make a thick paste.

Heat oil in a frying pan. When the oil is hot—–reduce the heat. Make balls with the paste and drop into hot oil. Fry on slow flame till brown on both sides. Increase the heat,take out the fried potato balls with a slotted spoon and keep on paper towels. Fry 5 to 6 balls at a time.

Quick and easy to make potato snacks is ready, serve hot.
