Tea Time Snacks—–Fried Dhoka (In Microwave)/Quick And Easy To Make Snacks.

Today I am sharing with you a mouthwatering snacks ——fried dhoka recipe. It is a traditional Bengali recipe, takes the most time to prepare. But you can prepare the beautiful dish very quickly in microwave and it is very easy to prepare.

Cooking time – 20 minutes. serve – 4

Ingredients –

1.Bengal gram (chana dal) -1cup

2.Yellow split peas (mator dal) – 1/2 cup.

3.Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp.

4.Red chilly powder – 1/2 tsp

5.Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp

6.Garam masala powder – 1/2 tsp.

7.Onion paste – 1 tbsp.

8.Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp.

9.Baking soda – 1/4 tsp.

10.Hing – a pinch

11.Salt to taste

12.Sugar – 1/2 tsp.

13 Oil —-as required.

14.Kalojeera — 1/2 tsp.

Instructions —

Soak the dals in enough water for 4 to 5 hours. Using 1/2 cup of water grind the dals into a paste. Transfer it to a large mixing bowl. To this add kalojeera, salt,sugar,ginger-garlic,onion,hing,baking soda,1 tbsp.of oil and all the masala powders (turmeric,chilly,cumin,garam masala). Mix all the ingredients very well. Now beat the mixture for 3 to 4 minutes.

Pour the mixture in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave at high powder for 7 to 10 minutes. Time depends on the power of the microwave. So check in between. Insert a knife——if it comes out clean ——the dish is ready. Take out the bowl from the microwave and allow to rest for 5 to 6 minutes. Then cut into squares or diamonds. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry on slow heat till golden brown on both sides. The Fried Dhoka is ready——-serve hot. You can make a beautiful gravy with this fritters. Enjoy.
