Today I am sharing with you a very easy to make sweet snacks recipe made with ripe Banana. It is a popular South Indian snacks and very quick and easy to prepare and with few ingredients. This delicious dish can be served hot as a tea time snacks.
Cooking time – 35 minutes. Serve – 4
- Ripe banana – 4
- Flour (maida) – 1 +1/2 cups.
- Rice flour or Corn flour – 2 tbsp.
- Sugar – 3 to 4 tbsp.
- Salt – a pinch.
- Turmeric powder – a pinch.
- Pepper powder – a pinch.
- Baking powder – 1/2 tsp.
- White oil/Veg.oil – 2 cups.
Peel the bananas and cut into slices (vertically). If the banana is very big, cut them into halves (horizontally) and slice them.
In a large mixing bowl add flour,rice flour,sugar,salt,turmeric,pepper and baking powder. Mix all the ingredients properly. Add water to make a batter (like pan cake batter). Beat the batter well. Cover the bowl,allow it to rest for few minutes.
Heat oil in a frying pan, when it is hot reduce the heat. Beat the batter again. Take one slice of banana, dip into the batter (coat well) and drop in the hot oil. Fry on slow flame until light brown on both sides. Increase the heat, take out the fried banana with a slotted spoon and keep on paper towels. Fry 3 to 4 slices at a time.
Delicious sweet snacks of banana is ready, serve hot as a tea time snacks.
