Easy Party Snacks – Bread (Pauruti) Fritters.

Today I am sharing with you a beautiful snacks recipe made with Bread slice. It is a simple dish but very tasty to eat. It is quick and easy to prepare and perfect for a party.

Cooking time – 30 minutes.  Serve – 4

Ingredients –

1.Bread slice – 4.

2.Urad dal paste – 4 tbsp.

3.Flour (maida) – 1 tbsp.

4.Corn flour – 1 tbsp.

5.Onion – 1 (finely chopped)

6.Tomato – 1 (finely chopped)

7.Chopped cilantro (coriander leaves) – 2 tbsp.

8.Green chilly – 2 (chopped)

9.Salt to taste.

10.Sugar – 1/4 tsp.

11.Curd – 1 tbsp.

12.Oil for deep frying.

Method –

1.Soak Urad dal in water for 6 hours and drain. Using 1/2 cup of water grind the dal to a smooth paste. Beat the dal for 5 to 6 minutes. Cut the bread slices using a cookies cuter (I used heart shaped). Keep aside.

2.To prepare batter take the Urad dal in a large bowl. To this add Flour,Cornflour,Curd,Salt, Sugar and 1 tbsp.of oil. Beat the batter very well. Then add onion,tomato,coriander leaves and green chilly. Mix very well. Add water to make a thick batter (pouring consistency). Keep it rest for 10 minutes.

3.Add enough oil in a frying pan, when hot reduce the heat. Take one bread slice dip into the batter and drop in the hot oil. Deep fry on slow heat until brown on both sides. Increase the heat and take out the fried bread slice from the oil with a slotted spoon, keep in paper towels. Fry all the slices in this way.

Delicious Bread Snacks is ready, serve with Ketchup or Chutney.
