Delicious Pumpkin Sweet – Malpua/ Misti Kumror Malpua

Hi Friends,
Today I am sharing with you famous Malpua recipe made with Pumpkin. It is an uncommon recipe of Malpua. This is an easy to make sweet and very tasty to eat and takes few minutes to prepare.

Cooking time – 40 minutes.  Serve – 4
Ingredients –
1.Pumpkin – 200 grams.
2.Flour (Maida) – 1 cup.
3.Semolina (Suji) – 3 tbsp.
4.Curd – 2 tbsp.
5.Black Cardamom seeds – From two Cardamoms.
6.Sugar – 2 cups.
7.Water – 1 cup.  And Oil/Ghee for deep frying.
Method –
1.Soak Semolina in 1/2 cup of water for 15 minutes (or until use).
2.To make the sugar syrup take sugar and water in a pan and boil for 5 to 6 minutes, keep aside.
3.Take Pumpkin and peel the skin off. Chop the pumpkin. Using 2 cups of water boil the chopped Pumpkin until soft and drain. Transfer the boiled Pumpkin to a large bowl and mash well. To this add the soaked semolina, flour,curd, black cardamom seeds and 1 tbsp. of oil. Mix very well. Add water to make a thick batter (like pancake batter). Beat the batter very well so that there is no lumps. Allow it to rest for 10 minutes.
4.Heat oil /gee in a non stick frying pan, When hot reduce the heat. Take one ladleful of the batter, pour circular movement into the hot oil to make a small circle and fry on slow heat until brown on both sides.Take out the fried Malpua from the oil and keep in paper towel. Repeat the same process with rest of the batter.
5.Heat the sugar syrup. Dip the Malpus into the sugar syrup and shift in  serving dish. Delicious Pumpkin Malpua is ready to serve. Garnish with Nuts/Raisins.
