Today we are making a quick and easy make sweet-Gulgula. It is a popular sweet of India made from flour and jaggery. Today I am making Gulgula with a little twist. It is very tasty and easy to make at home.
Cooking time – 40 minutes. Serve – 4.
1.Flour (maida) – 1 cup.
2.Milk powder/khoya – 2 tbsp.
3.Grated chocolate/coco powder- 2 tbsp.
4.Sugar – 2 tbsp.
5.Vanilla – 1 tsp.
6.Milk – 1 cup.
7.Oil / Ghee for deep frying.
1.Dissolve sugar and chocolate/coco in hot milk and cool it. Add vanilla, mix well.
2.Sift flour,milk powder and baking powder in a large bowl. Add the milk mixture and make a paste.(add little milk if needed)
3.Heat oil in a frying pan,when hot reduce the heat. Take a small portion of the paste and drop into the oil. Take 5-6 portions at a time. Fry them till golden brown.(temp.of oil should be low)
4.Remove them with a slotted spoon, keep in kitchen towel to drain excess oil.
Choco-Gulgula is ready.Enjoy Gulgulas any time of the day.
