Lentils Fritters/Lentil Pakoda/Massor Dal Bora

Hi friends,
My today’s recipe is Lentil Pakoda – a popular fried snack made with red lentils. It is a tasty and easy recipe.You can have it as a tea time snack or as a starter or as a side dish with meal

Cooking time – 30 minutes. Serve – 4
Ingredients-
1.Red lentils – 250 grams.(soaked for 3 – 4 hours)
2.Egg (beaten) – 1
3.Onion (big) – 1(chopped)
4.Ginger paste – 1/2 tsp.
5.Garlic paste – 1/4 tsp.
6.Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp.
7.Green chilly – 2 (chopped)
8.Sugar- 1/4 tsp.
9.Salt to taste.
10.Garam masala powder – 1/4 tsp.
11.Chopped coriander leaves – 1 tbsp.
12.Oil for deep frying.
Method –
1.Drain the lentils and grind to a paste.(without water), put the paste in a large bowl.
2.Add egg, onion,ginger, garlic,turmeric,salt, sugar,green chilly and garam masala powder to the paste and mix very well.
3.Heat oil in a frying pan, when hot reduce the heat. Make little balls of the lentil paste and drop in hot oil. Fry the lentil balls on slow flame until brown. Fry 8—10 balls at a time.
4.Drain excess oil in paper towels.
Lentils Fritters is ready, serve hot with ketchup as a snack or as a side dish with rice & dal.
